Well! I'm really proud of this piece. It's definitely my favorite work so far. I have practically no experience with texturing, so the level of realism in this is extremely satisfying. It was also a good project, figuring out how to do displacement and reflection maps, as well as get a sorta-realistic moonlit render.
I envisioned these as really old incendiary grenades left over from WWIII, but they could always be something else. Maybe a Pokeball?

Still don't quite know how to make a spherical texture... there's some weird distortion going on with the rusty grenades.
By the way, I am not automatically allowing downloads, but you are welcome to have the file for a
wallpaper only if you note me. My reasoning behind this is that anyone who wants to mass upload stuff to wallpaper sites won't want to actually contact the artist. So, if you want to use this as a wallpaper, just note me, and I'll give it to ya. It's 1080p, for those who care.

Feedback, anyone?
I would say possibly give the ground a different texture or different lighting then the gernades, they kind of look like they are made out of the same material which wouldn't make much sense.
Maybe a bit of lighting work to make the gernade stand ut a bit more but honestly it looks great just the ground texture I'd tweak personally. Awesome stuff!!
